In addition to enabling us to do site research, a site visit exposes us to the local way of life and distinctive culture. Being on-site and fully engaged in the environment, both physically and psychologically, is superior to conducting research in an office setting.
By giving teams a procedure to cope with human error and unanticipated changes that arise throughout the project, a site visit helps reduce some of that risk.
